Event: Winter Storm Warning

Anticipated Event End Time: 1200 Thursday 24 MAR 2016
Situation: National Weather Service (NWS) La Cross has issued a winter storm warning for Winneshiek County from 1800 Wednesday to 1200 Thursday. The area can expect a significant snowfall up to 2 inches per hour with a total accumulation of 5-13 inches of mixed ice and snow. Hazardous travel conditions are likely during the Thursday morning commute time.
Van drivers should delay trips to Decorah until Thursday afternoon at the earliest, and monitor Iowa Department of Transportation Iowa511 website.
Clinics should assume patient difficulty in arriving for appointments and offer and be prepared for appointment rescheduling.
