Iowa City VA Medical Center Internship Program

The Iowa City VA Medical Center is pleased to announce our recruitment of three interns for our predoctoral psychology internship training program.  We have established a new Psychology Internship Training Program and intend to apply for membership in APPIC and to pursue APA accreditation at the earliest dates possible.  While this is our first year offering a predoctoral internship, we have a long history of training graduate students from the University of Iowa's Counseling and Clinical psychology programs as well as interns from the University of Iowa Counseling Service on external rotations; we have also been involved in training medical residents and graduate students in nursing and social work.  During the past 40 years, doctoral-level students have completed clinical practica at the Iowa City VAMC Psychology Service in general clinical psychology, health psychology, marital and family therapy, women's health, PTSD, and neuropsychology.
